TREE

INEQUALITY.

Tree inequality is rampant across the United States, disproportionately affecting BIPOC neighborhoods. Urban Forestry Project works in 30 cities nationwide to plant trees in under-resourced communities, bringing green spaces where they are most needed and raising awareness for the importance of equitable tree distribution for the health of all communities.

EQUITY

ALL

A majority of Americans in cities live in areas without adequate tree coverage. Tree inequality costs the US hundreds of lives and billions of dollars every year. This inequality is most prominent along income and racial zoning lines from the remnants of de jure segregation.
